Last year My daughter ( 11yrs old) and I made our first gingerbread house in large scale. We used you houses for inspiration. The house was on display at our local grocery store. This year we have been asked to do another house and again i am looking at your house for inspiration. QUESTION how did you make the floor in the music dance hall/room with the jukebox in your 2007 house? Also how did you make the "glass" ball on the roof? thanks so much.

Oh my goodness. I didn't realize I could actually leave you a message. To say I am a fan is an understatement. I do miniatures which means that 1 inch is equal to 1 foot. My 'specialty' is gingerbread houses in miniature and I recreate the candy and marzipan in Fimo, an oven baked clay. The 'icing' is bathtub cauling. Over the years, I have rifled through many magazines looking for inspiration. Your pieces have always pulled me in and I am proud to say I have recreated several of yours in miniature. I am proud to be able to tell you what a fan I am of yours. I have taken first place 12yrs running for different items and one in particular I wrote to either family circle or womens day (not sure) as I wanted to share (it was not an exact replica) but never did hear back. Thank you so so so much for the inspiration along the way. Kathy Carey
